Welcome to the Garden Flat!
We offer peace and seclusion, though close to all amenities, in a village just ten minutes drive from the centre of Winchester. We live in Littleton and we hope that our interest in gardening and interior decoration has resulted in a relaxed and comfortable place to live and that you might enjoy a stay in the part of our home that we call the Garden Flat.
The private accommodation, solely for your use, consists of a bedroom with a double bed and bathroom together with a dining room and a sitting room equipped with a TV, digital radio and free wi-fi access. There is a private terrace overlooking the garden with table and chairs and a garden bench. For your comfort we use quality sheets, plump pillows and large bath towels. We also strongly believe in providing only top quality breakfast ingredients that include local free range eggs, locally baked bread and home made preserves. Please have a look at the photo gallery page on the website to give you some idea of what is available to you.
We are lucky to have the Running Horse, a very good pub and restaurant, right here in our village where the restaurant menu is innovative and the atmosphere is welcoming. Excellent lighter meals are available in the bar and there are a couple of pleasant terraces, weather permitting.
Suppers can be available, on request, or if you just want to put your feet up in the evening you can prepare meals in your own kitchen. Both Waitrose and Tesco Express are just five minutes away. We also have a renowned Indian restaurant and takeaway plus an award winning fish and chip shop also just five minutes away.
The beautiful cathedral city of Winchester is easily accessible and we have an hourly bus so you can leave the car at home, if you wish, as you have off street parking. We are also on the bus route to Salisbury, which takes about an hour, and if you take the car you will arrive on the right side of Salisbury for their convenient "Park and Ride". You can even make use of the train into London which can take as little as 55 minutes.
The small towns of Romsey, Stockbridge and Alresford are short drives away as is the beautiful countryside and the villages of the Test, Itchen and Avon valleys. Southampton, Portsmouth and the New Forest are within easy reach.
For garden lovers we have the National Trust gardens at Hinton Ampner and Mottisfont plus the Hillier Gardens and Arboretum all within a short drive. From February onwards many local gardens are open under the NGS Yellow Book.

The Cost
Bed and breakfast costs £70 per night for two people or £65 per night for two or more nights.
